Philosophy has an ancient formula, which serves to anecdote in philosophy, for happiness.
It is a formula!
Happiness = Reality / Expectations
H = R / E
Happiness is an intense vibration, where you feel exuberant vitality, but this vibration is not a continuous state. Happiness is not a permanent thing, by the way, happiness are moments occurring episode that we felt life take us to the fullest. Feel happy is not to be euphoric, people have sought happiness in euphoric states through consumer products or drugs, and euphoria is not happiness. If happiness is not simple, if it is adorned excessively, and inflated with things unnecessary in itself, this happy state of feeling is nothing beyond precipitation situations. Simplicity is the simple, simple is not spoony. There are people who think that happiness is the possession of material goods, as it in fact, produces a happiness that is very shallow, so it is very momentary, it's very episodic and fast. There person enters into an obsessive process of imagining that this worship of the consumption, the continued possession of thing, is what will make her happy. And the leaves, rather, in a very strong state of anxiety. Happiness in life comes from what is essential, the essential thing is friendship, loyalty, fraternity, sexuality, religion ... etc. Many people confuse the essential with the fundamental. The fundamental is what helps me achieve the essential, for example, money is not essential, money is fundamental; without it I have problems, but it itself does not congratulates me. Because people do not buy sexuality, people buy sex. People do not buy friends, people buy interest. People do not buy loyalty, people buy reciprocity. Therefore it is not that the money is contemptible, is that it itself is not enough. From this point of view, almost all of the mistakes is when we seek happiness in what is secondary, rather than seeking their primary source which gives us, in fact, the authenticity.
